Route 27 Extension 10/11/12

Route 27 has had a short new extension from Turnham Green Church to Chiswick, Business Park. The business park used to be the LT Chiswick Bus Works, now redeveloped to a business park. Route E10 is also planned to be extended into the business park.

Here are observations from the first two days of the extension:

Warning at the sole bus stop affected with the changes
Later on in the day, the countdown says the destination is Chiswick Bus Park...

  1. Nice post Au. Can't wait for the E10 to be extended too, although I anticipate that will be held off still for another couple of years. Maybe it will mean E10 gets bigger buses? ;)
    Great pics.

    1. I hope E10 gets extended as soon as possible, as well as getting the bigger buses needed to cope with such an extension. Thanks. :)

    2. I have a feeling it will stick with the 8.9m due to the fact that at Islip Manor, that little roundabout where buses turn wouldn't be able to cope with 10.2m Maybe 9.6m will work...

    3. 9.6m? A bit tight at Islip Manor! It could work. Unless First start losses on the western front as they have on the eastern part of London... Unfortunate.

  3. Great Post! I hope the E10 gets extended soon because it will bring links from Chiswick to Ealing Broadway.

    1. To be honest, I've always wanted both the extensions to happen together, as the 27 is mostly empty every time between Turnham Green and Business Park. Most times I go there, I'm the only passenger. But then again, I do only go on Saturdays...

  4. Thank you for the read. Honestly you covered the topic and broadly examined all areas. If i was to write this i would have done a few things differently myself but you have definitely inspired me to get into the world of blogging.
